Training Your Team Will Actually Use
Workshops and programs that turn a capable group into a coordinated team, led by a certified executive coach with 30 years of experience.
Most corporate training fades by the following Monday. Everyone is well-intentioned, but then the deck gets filed. The energy wanes. And little, if anything, changes.
Corporate training from Heidi Sadecky lives in your teams. It doesn’t die in a drawer. That’s because each session is:
- Shaped around the challenges your team is dealing with right now
- Aimed at the work your team goes back to when the session ends
- Anchored in frameworks built for organizations, the vulnerabilities they’re prone to, and the real humans who work for them
What Good Corporate Training Accomplishes
You can have a team of capable, decent people, yet detect drag you’re not sure how to address. Good ideas die in meetings because no one takes ownership of them. The same disagreement comes back every quarter under a new name. Your strongest performer has gone quiet, but you learn nothing about why until the exit interview.
None of this is a talent problem. It is the cost of a group of people who have not yet learned to work as one. That is what good training changes. Done well, it leaves you with:
- Communication that is refreshingly clear, intentional, and genuine. No more avoidance or assumptions.
- Conflict that gets brought into the open and resolved. Not inflamed or left to fester.
- Leaders with the awareness and presence to steady a team in times of uncertainty.
- People who want to contribute to their teams because of the respect and value they feel.
- A team that has found its rhythm, reading one another, covering the gaps, and reaching the kind of results none of them could alone.
Built for Your Team, Not Pulled From a Shelf
With Heidi Sadecky, the standard is custom. She does not lead your corporate training with a stock deck. Every engagement starts with what your team is facing in the real world. The session gets built around that. Your team gets the tools they’ll use when they get back to their desks.
Sessions take whatever shape fits the needs of your organization or team: a half-day workshop, a full-day intensive, a multi-session series, or a leadership retreat. On-site or virtual, for a tactical team, a full department, or an entire company.
Heidi’s Corporate Training Programs
Five proven programs, each one customized to your team and your goals.
Gallup Strengths-Based Development
Your team takes the CliftonStrengths assessment, then sits down with Heidi to make sense of it together. The payoff is not the report. It is the moment a team realizes the colleague they found exasperating is wired to catch the risks everyone else races past.
Once a team can see how each person is built, they can:
• Hand the right work to the right person, instead of handing the high-visibility project to whoever is most senior and hoping it fits
• Ask for what they need out loud: the big-picture thinker learns to say “I need someone on the details,” and the detail person hears that as trust rather than criticism
• Stop reading difference as friction, so the teammate who slows things down to ask “why are we doing this?” is understood to be doing their job, not blocking everyone else’s
The Working Genius
The Working Genius model by Patrick Lencioni maps six kinds of work, from spotting the problem to crafting its solution to getting that solution across the finish line. It also identifies, for each person, the work that fulfills them and the work that drains them. Your team learns where each person’s natural genius sits, and where the gaps are.
With that map in hand, your team can:
• Put people on the parts of a project that energize them, so your sharpest problem-solver is not quietly worn down by the follow-up tracking she was never built for
• Spot a structural gap before it stalls a project, whether that is too many starters and too few finishers, or all execution and no one questioning the direction, and staff around it on purpose
• Stop misreading each other, recognizing that the person poking holes in the plan is not being negative, and that the team with language for it stops taking it personally
• Reach a finished, durable result sooner, because the work is moving through the people suited to each stage
Emotional Intelligence
Self-awareness, empathy, and composure under pressure might be gifts that some leaders are born with. But they are also traits that people in leadership positions can acquire and cultivate. Through corporate training that focuses on emotional intelligence, Heidi helps organizational leaders grow from the kind people tolerate to the kind people follow.
The work is practical. Your leaders learn to:
• Tune in to the people around them, so they catch the team member who has pulled back over the last few meetings and check in before it becomes a resignation
• Take a hard piece of feedback without bristling, so a challenge to their plan becomes information to use rather than an attack to fend off
• Read a situation as it unfolds and choose how to respond, so they can tell when a room is agreeing out loud but not on board, and address it before the work stalls
Conflict Resolution
Disagreements and tension that no one addresses are costly. They cost your organization productivity, trust, and worst of all, good people. With corporate training focused on conflict resolution, your team learns to name conflict, use it rather than fear it, and work through it instead of routing around it.
Your team comes away able to:
• Have the disagreement in the room rather than venting in the parking lot afterward
• Thaw a working relationship that has gone cold between two people, or two departments, who have spent months politely avoiding or even sabotaging each other
• Argue professionally about the work without it curdling into something personal
Communication
Most workplace problems trace back to a conversation: one that never happened, one that went sideways, or one that everyone understood differently. This program builds the skill your team brings to the conversations that decide things: giving feedback, handing off a project, working through a disagreement, making an ask.
Your team gets better at:
• Saying the hard thing clearly and kindly, so feedback lands instead of getting softened until the point disappears
• Ensuring that a decision means the same thing to everyone who has to act on it, so the plan does not split into three versions
• Walking into the conversation they have been avoiding, with the underperformer, about the missed deadline, or between the two departments fighting over turf, and settling the matter instead of postponing it again

WHY HEIDI
An Executive Coach, Not a Workshop Vendor
Most team training is bought like a product. A vendor arrives with a licensed deck, runs the same half-day they ran in two other cities that week, and is gone by lunch. The slides are polished. Nothing in them is about you.
Heidi works the other way around. She is a practicing executive coach and the only certified Townsend Leadership Program director in Pennsylvania, which means she spends her weeks in the room with leaders, not on a workshop circuit. When she runs a session for your team, she is watching what happens between the people in front of her, the deference, the quick glances, the person who has not said a word, and following it.
The instruments are the genuine articles too. She is certified to deliver Gallup’s CliftonStrengths, the Working Genius, and the EQ-i 2.0, so your team works with the validated assessments rather than a watered-down version. But plenty of people hold those certificates. The value is the coach who knows what to do when the assessment surfaces something a team has been stepping around for years.
The teams Heidi trains sit inside some of the region’s most demanding organizations, from AHN and Johns Hopkins to Hershey and Endopharmaceuticals.
Corporate Training FAQs
How do you tailor a program to our team?
It starts before any slide exists. Heidi talks with you about what is going on, what is working, where it catches, what you have already tried, and she will often speak with a few people on the team first. From there she designs the session around your situation: the right instrument for it, the examples that will land with your people, the issues worth your time and the ones better left alone. You are not getting last month’s workshop with your logo dropped onto the title slide.
Do you work on-site or remotely?
Both. Heidi runs sessions in person throughout Pittsburgh and the wider Northeast, and virtually for teams spread across locations. In person tends to be better for the harder conversations; remote works well for a focused, single-topic session.
How long does a session run?
It depends on what you are after. Some teams want a focused half-day on one topic. Others want a full-day deep dive, a series spread across a quarter, or an ongoing engagement that returns to the work as the team changes. Heidi will be honest with you about what a single session can and cannot do.
How many people can take part?
Anything from a handful of senior leaders to a full department or company. The format flexes with the size, since a leadership team of six is a very different room than an all-hands of sixty, and the design accounts for that.
What does it cost?
It depends on the program, the format, and the size of your group, and the assessment is included wherever one is used. There is no single sticker price because there is no single program. See the investment page for how pricing works, and a discovery call is the fastest way to get an actual figure for your situation.
How do I start?
With a discovery call. You tell Heidi what is going on, she tells you whether and how she can help, and there is no obligation on either side.
