About Heidi and Her Approach

What makes Heidi’s coaching different from other leadership coaches?

Two things, mostly. The first is how she works: instead of handing you advice, she develops you through assessments, cohorts, and sustained one-on-one work. You experience change, rather than just receiving knowledge you have to figure out how to use, and that change persists after the engagement ends. The second is her standing. Heidi is the only certified Townsend Leadership Program director in Pennsylvania and the Northeast, selected and trained by Dr. John Townsend after a competitive application process. She’s also ICF-credentialed and a Certified Advanced Executive Coach, certified in CliftonStrengths and emotional intelligence among other instruments, and holds a master’s in organizational leadership that she has honed across thirty years in different industries. That combination gives her an organizational-development lens most coaches don’t bring: she reads the system you lead, not just the problem in front of you, and helps you lead successfully inside it.

Who does Heidi work best with?

Leaders who are serious about getting better, willing to look honestly at themselves, and ready to hear that honesty, which takes courage. That set of characteristics covers a lot of ground: senior executives, founders, nonprofit and ministry leaders, and rising leaders whom an organization is investing in. The common thread isn’t a title or an industry. It’s a leader who wants to grow and is ready to do the hard work, whether they’re thriving and want more, or whether they’re stuck and know it.

I’m already doing well. Is coaching still worth it?

Often it’s the ideal time for coaching. The leaders who get the most from it tend to be the ones already performing, because they have the reps to recognize gaps in their solution toolkits, the muscle to use new tools, and the most leverage to gain. Coaching isn’t only repair work. Just as often, it’s how an already strong leader finds the next level, and the blind spots that success tends to hide.

Programs and Results

What happens in the Townsend Leadership Program?

It’s one full day a month for twelve months, and for once you’re the recipient rather than the constant giver. You work on real challenges from your own world, use assessments to understand how you lead, and develop alongside the same group across the year, which is what makes the change stick. The group is not merely people whose schedules happened to coincide with yours. It’s a cohort Heidi assembled with your specific role, needs, and challenges in mind, and it becomes your personal executive board: people who want you to thrive and who show up to help you do it. Learn more on the Townsend Leadership Program page.

What kinds of results do clients get, and can I talk to anyone?

Clients tend to describe the same transformation: from reacting and doing too much themselves to leading with clarity and getting time and energy back. In practice that shows up as more productive teams, conflict handled instead of avoided, stronger hires and decisions, and a glorious absence of bottlenecks. Written case studies are on the case studies page, and Heidi can connect you with references on a discovery call.

Cost, Logistics, and Getting Started

What does Heidi’s coaching cost?

It depends on the engagement, so there isn’t a single sticker price. The work ranges from a focused CliftonStrengths session up to the year-long Townsend Leadership Program. The investment scales with the depth, length, and format you choose. The fuller programs are a serious professional investment, on the order of what an organization budgets to develop a senior leader, and clients consistently find the return outweighs it. The Investment page explains what drives the cost, and a discovery call is where you get a figure scoped to your situation.

Can this work on a smaller or nonprofit budget?

Often, yes. Not every engagement is a year-long program. A CliftonStrengths session or a focused round of one-on-one coaching is a fraction of the commitment. E4 runs the cohort model in four months instead of twelve. And group formats spread the cost across people and months. For nonprofits and ministries especially, Heidi will work with you to find an engagement that fits what you have. A discovery call is the place to map that out.

Is the coaching confidential?

Yes, completely. What you work on with Heidi stays between you. When an organization sponsors the coaching, she agrees up front on what is and isn’t shared, so you always know where the lines are, and in a cohort the same expectations are set for the whole room.

Does Heidi work remotely, or only around Pittsburgh?

Both. Heidi is based in the Pittsburgh area and works in person with clients across Western Pennsylvania. She also coaches remotely, and works with leaders throughout the Northeast and beyond.

How do I get started?

With a discovery call. Tell Heidi what’s going on and what you’re hoping to change, and she’ll give you a straight, no-pressure sense of whether and how she can help. It’s a conversation, not a commitment.

Still have a question?

The fastest way to an answer is a conversation. Book a discovery call and ask Heidi directly.
